Skipper's White Fish Biscuits: Whitefish is an excellent source of lean protein and essential fatty acids, which are crucial for maintaining your dog's muscle health and energy levels. The added herbs can provide additional nutrients and flavour.
Skipper's Salmon Supremes: Salmon is a high-quality source of protein and is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, which support heart health, reduce inflammation, and promote shiny coats and healthy skin in dogs.
Tinned Sardines: Tinned sardines are packed with Omega-3 fatty acids and provide calcium, phosphorus, and vitamins such as vitamin D, which are essential for bone health and overall immune function for your dog.
Flaxseeds: Similarly to fish, flaxseeds are packed with essential Omega-3 fatty acids. These tiny seeds also provide your dog with dietary fibre, aiding in digestion and maintaining a healthy gut.
Eggs: A fantastic source of protein, eggs help build and repair body tissues and support a healthy immune system. They also contain essential amino acids and nutrients like vitamins A and B12.
Goat's Milk: Easier to digest than cow's milk, goats milk is rich in calcium and probiotics, supporting bone health and a balanced digestive system.
Cream Cheese: Feeding your dog cream cheese is one of the better options of cheese to feed to your dog. Cream cheese provides them with beneficial protein and calcium. Ensure the cream cheese you pick is plain and free from any additives or preservatives.
Begin by combining 1 cup of ground flaxseed with 3 eggs in a mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly until the ingredients are well incorporated and form a smooth paste.
Add 1 tin of sardines to the flaxseed and egg mixture. Break up the sardines using a fork and blend them evenly into the mixture.
Pour 2 tablespoons of goat milk into the mixture whilst stirring continuously. Mix the goat milk until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
Evenly distribute the prepared mixture into muffin or cupcake cases, filling them nearly to the top, as the mixture doesn't rise significantly during baking.
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Place the filled muffin cases in the oven and bake for approximately 20 minutes, or until the pupcakes are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
Once baked, remove the pupcakes from the oven and allow them to cool on a wire rack or a heat-safe surface.
Once completely cooled, decorate the pupcakes with a dollop of cream cheese (make sure the cream cheese is plain). You can also garnish it with your dog's favourite treats or sprinkle it with ground flaxseed for added nutrition and appeal.
Your homemade pupcakes are now ready to be served to your eager furry friend!
